Atari’s Food Truck Frenzy

Food Truck Frenzy is an online match-3 mobile game released on both iOS and Android worldwide in February of 2019.

As lead gameplay developer on this project, it was my responsibility to design and develop the core match-3 gameplay system for the game. The effort bled in to multiple disciplines, as it was necessary to work with other members of the development team to design around online networking, analytics and IAP.

In addition to gameplay logic, I led implementation of the animation system in the Unity engine using Esoteric Software’s Spine. This allowed me to take technical art direction and work with artists to clean the asset delivery pipeline.

It was also my duty to implement dynamic asset loading optimization through the use of Unity Asset Bundles, so that we could not only package a large game as a concise app, but allow opportunity for post-release content updates.

I worked on almost every aspect of the visual part of this game, implementing UI and UX animations.

This was built in the Unity Engine, and uses multiple 3rd party libraries for analytics and monetization.
